Tools
Tools provided by Vista
📄️ Learning tool
The learning tool is an interactive tool that allows you to create ISO-compliant sensor names. Here, you can give your existing sensor name as input, and a suggested tag is generated for you. AI support is available for users with access to the tool. Please note that AI generated content may be incorrect, especially for more special sensors not so often seen.
📄️ Gmod viewer
The Gmod viewer is a visual and searchable representation of the hierarchical VIS ship data structure. Gmod viewer is also available in the learning tool.
📄️ Mapping tool
The mapping tool is a collaborative tool used for efficient standardisation of large volumes of data channel names, including work process support for evaluation, correction, verification, and approval of these names. This tool is used by the DNV Vista support team. Customers and teams can also be granted access to it for collaboration internally and with DNV experts.
📄️ Lab
The Vista lab connects standardized data channels with timeseries and event data, creating an interactive data experimentation lab. Here, new, aggregated data channels can be created or experiments with new business logics can be applied for e.g. testing new, data-driven compliance services.
📄️ Vista SDK
An open-source SDK that implements the rules and principles of ISO 19848 Annex C and VIS. It provides tools for constructing transport packages, validating and generating compliant names, converting between common data formats, and handling VIS version conversions. The SDK is designed to support users and implementers of the standard by enabling correct and consistent application of its specifications in software. Currently, the SDK supports C#, TypeScript, and (partially) Python.
